Evelyn & Jonathan

Today will be etched in my memory for countless reasons, but let me highlight the most obvious and monumental one... I captured this entire wedding using film/analogue cameras! To tackle this epic task, I had my good mate Dylan from Bellows Film by my side as my trusty assistant.

The day was a symphony of both 35mm and 120mm film, with different formats and film stocks intertwining to create pure magic. If youre scratching your head, don’t worry. Just know that film photography is my undying passion, a realm I mostly keep within my “hobby zone.”

However, when Evelyn and Jonathan approached me with their heartfelt desire for an analogue-filled celebration, I couldn’t resist the challenge. I embraced the opportunity to shoot their special day entirely on film!

Film is a beast of its own kind—demanding and exquisite. It thrives in specific lighting conditions, pushing me to think on my feet and solve problems on the fly. Sometimes it works like a dream, and sometimes it takes a different path. But therein lies the beauty of analogue. A shot captured on film isn’t simply a digitally perfected image; it’s the result of hard work, craftsmanship, and a deep understanding of the art form.

I’m beyond thrilled with how these photos turned out. Shooting more weddings on analogue/film cameras is a dream I yearn to fulfil. So, if this concept ignites your passion too, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Now, sit back, immerse yourself in the breathtaking moments of Evelyn and Jonathan’s extraordinary day, and prepare to be captivated.

Cheers!
